Amanti for 2011 Or Not

The segment of large size sedan has become increasingly crowded, with almost every brand throwing in a new model every year for this segment.
Hyundai and Kia cars have been successfully leading the segment for long; but as per the last news, the company had plans of discontinuing Amanti after 2010.

The Korean Auto giant might just re-think its decision of discontinuing the model.
Current Trend
One of the leaders in the segment currently has been Hyundai Genesis, which has done pretty good business for the brand. Its subsidiary Kia too might plan of bringing back Amanti in pursuit to rule the affordable sedan segment.
What will 2011 Amanti be like?
Back in April 2009, the concept version of Kia Amanti was showcased in Seoul Auto Show.
Now the sources claim that the model is all set to release commercially in the second half of 2011. The added styling tweaks would include LED tail-lamps, and sporty stance, which will help the model to finally be termed as a style statement.
Engine and Platform
The model is speculated to sport a 2.4 liter direct-injected Theta II GDI 4 cylinder engine. A gasoline V6 engine is also like to come as an option.
Though Kia is yet to provide the official details of the models, we believe Kia Amanti 2011 will be based on the platform used for recent Hyundai’s next-generation Azera.
